Cavalier Needs

Cavaliers are loving companion dogs and they need to get the love back -- almost constantly! They are not natural kennel dogs and have strong bonds to humans and other household dogs.

Cavaliers need their hair brushed out often to prevent matting. They can also use frequent trimming around their ears and feet.

Cavaliers love their play! They are attentive, love treats, and love play that involves a lot of human interaction.

Cavaliers are one of the least aggressive breeds. So while being great companions, they are not fighters and may have trouble coping with large or aggressive dogs.
